Deus sive Natura: Why Spinoza Keeps the Name “God”
Résumé
Spinoza is often read as a philosopher of nature and secularism rather than religion, yet he continues to use the word “God” throughout his work. This talk explains why Spinoza deliberately keeps the term, and how doing so allows him to challenge traditional ideas of creation, freedom, and morality while offering a new way of thinking about meaning and human life.
